SOCIOCOMP is a (now fledgling) blog published by Taylor W. Brown, a PhD candidate in sociology at Duke University. The aim of SOCIOCOMP is to act as a bridge between the new computational methods being developed (largely by computer scientists) and the questions about society that interest sociologists. The blog is not meant as an introduction to coding languages like R and Python (there are plenty of great tutorials out there–see here), but rather as a source for snippets of useful code and introductions to tasks, evaluation methods, and other programs.
